Our Process
Consult
Our process begins with a free consultation in our office to discuss your business, your target market, how the logo will be used, colours and imagery to consider or avoid, and other factors that may affect your final logo design.
Brainstorm
Designing a logo for your business begins with the exploratory phase, where our designers will research your industry and create a mood style board. It takes multiple perspectives to come up with an idea that’s truly unique and innovative.
Mock ups
Our designers will begin sketching illustrations by hand, that are symbolic of what you want the design to represent. We will put together a presentation for you and your team, showcasing the top 3 to 5 logo designs in black and white.
Revisions
After selecting your favorite logo, we carefully think about your brand, and identify and test out colors aligned with your business. Our team will work tireless with you so that all of your revisions are complete, needs are met and your final logo is perfect.
Like colors, fonts convey and inspire emotion. Your designer should know the differences between the four main font types: serif, sans serif, script, and decorative. Fonts may be selected to match a business’s service or product. For example, a logo for a legal firm, which should convey truth, honor, strength, and justice, might be best represented with a bold, straightforward font free of curls and swirls. On the other hand, logos for cosmetic products often use thin, gentle fonts.
What brands resonate with you? Are there any brands you dislike? Providing examples can help streamline the process and help your designer create options that work best for your company.
Take a look at your competitors’ logos and brands. Figure out what shapes and colors are commonly used. It’s very important to consult with your designer so they can create distinctive logo designs. After all, you want to stand out from your competitors.
